Treatments/Total Skin Rejuvenation/Microneedling Classic

The Dermapen provides automated penetration of the fine microneedles giving more control than other traditional microneedling techniques. It is suitable for use on the face and body and is less invasive than many alternative solutions. There is minimal downtime, and you can normally return to your daily activities the next day.

As a non-surgical procedure, microneedling is a popular, minimally invasive technique in aesthetic dermatology. When used alongside treatments such as laser therapy, hydrafacials and fruit acid peelings, microneedling can effectively enhance the appearance and longevity of their skin rejuvenating results.

The Dermapen, also called the Microneedling Pen, is a hand-held automated microneedling device that stimulates renewal and regeneration of the skin. The fine microneedles move up and down to penetrate the skin in a mild stamping manner. This inflicts many micro-wounds in the skin stimulating growth factors and healing proteins such as collagen and elastin. The result is firmer, tighter skin with a reduction in scar tissue and other superficial irregularities.

Immediately after this skin rejuvenation treatment, the skin will already feel fresher, tighter and rejuvenated. However, the real benefits of this treatment are seen only after sufficient levels of collagen has been produced and the deep tissue layers have successfully been remodelled. This full healing process can take up to 2-4 months.

The ability to adjust the speed of the projections, as well as the needle length make the Dermapen suitable for treating delicate areas such as the décolletage, lips and lower eyelid area.

The Dermapen Microneedling procedure has shown particular success in the following:
• Treatment of fine lines, wrinkles and tightening of skin
• Reduction of acne and acne scars
• Remodelling and reduction of tissue from scars including burn scars
• Reduction in blemishes and pigmentation disorders

The microneedles of the Dermapen are very fine and levels of pain and discomfort are minimal. If required, local anaesthetic or numbing cream can be applied to the target area before treatment. Some levels of redness and slight swelling after the treatment is to be expected but this usually subsides after one or two days after treatment.

Combination Treatments With The Dermapen

The most popular combination treatment with Dermapen Microneedling is Mesotherapy. This treatment involves the application of various hyaluronic acid-based serums containing a complex mix of vitamins, nutrients, antioxidants and other hydrating agents. The micro-wounds effectively act as small micro-channels allowing for a deeper penetration of the products and thus increasing their efficacy.

The Meso Lip treatment is a particularly effective lip rejuvenating procedure using a combination treatment of mesotherapy with the Dermapen to give the lips a rejuvenating boost and subtle increase in volume.

"Nurse Jo is amazing. The results from the treatments she has recommended to me are significant and I am delighted."

"Nurse Jo is absolutely amazing. She is very caring and takes a lot of pride in her work. I felt very comfortable with her as she explained the best treatments and products for me. I had Potenza, micro-needling with meso, and hydrafacials, and I saw immediate improvements to my skin. The results were incredible, and I couldn't be happier. She is one of London’s best… if not the best. Highly recommended."
